Are we ok drinking melted plastic?
My son and his wife just gave me an Aeropress and a special grinder and scale and heater…and told me to subscribe to you. So my journey is now beginning. Thank you!
I want an aeropress!
Why is this better than a French press?
I'd love to have one made of aluminum.
One of my friends introduced the Aeropress to me, as he used it in Afghanistan to get a decent cup of coffee in the field. If you go hiking and don't want to rely on freeze dried instant coffee, this is basically your best choice.
What a nice man.
Dude I bought one after some hesitance because I already owned a Keurig. I am now ready to chuck that bulky piece of garbage away because Aeropress is amazing
Now that was a cool intro
This a horrible video of the Aeropress, in part because it ignores all the flaws of the Aeropress.
1) It's plastic and most people cringe when they receive it as a gift.
2) I have been burnt and my clothes stained about a dozen times
3) When you use it as recommended in the instructions, it leaks.
4) It doesn't make a full 12 oz cup and the recommendation is to add hot water at first.
5) Other
I do believe that when the Aeropress works as it should, you can make a damn good cup of coffee. Clean up is fairly easy.
Another useless product needing cleanup.
Just put your coffee in a mug, add hot water, stir.
Full flavor extraction and easy cleanup.
Nobody needs a coffee maker.
Tell me you don't know anything about baseball without telling me you don't know anything about baseball. TIL the Toronto Blue Jays is an American team. The Toronto. Blue Jays. Toronto.
yes
You said sail boats{`π`}
Proprietary nonsense.
A friend of mine had an aeropress and every-time I visited I could get a great cup of coffee. Unfortunately my friend has now got a coffee machine and the coffee is awful. I have to take my own plunger and coffee with me if I want to drink coffee.
I used to pour over.. now I exclusively aeropress unless I need a lot of coffee for a group. It almost never fails!
Sidetracking a little but love the comment on America's calling their baseball league world series and NBA as world champions. Sorry guys, you're not the world.
I was surfing YouTube with a cup of coffee made on my aero press when I ran across this
Now I am motivated to revisit my AeroPress which I never completely warmed up to.
Good lord the edits are CRISP
very informative. thank you!
So he didn't know 1-2 cups moka coffe machines?
7:30 There's a championship for this!?
Well of course there is. If any two people can do something, a competition shall be organised. That's almost a force of nature.
I purchased mine in 2010 and used it twice a workday up to 2020. Only tweak is a steel cleanable filter. I use two scoops and stir for 10 seconds, then plunge, which I thought was was what the instructions said. Gives lovely smooth strong coffee and goes great with the foamy milk the work coffee machine makes. I could never understand why the hipsters had to over complicate it (inverted ffs) or people just used it as a fancy plunger (small amounts of coffee with long steeping times = bitter coffee). We have no shortage of great cafes in Melbourne, but the aeropress is a great alternative.
Cheap, easy, transportable, versatile, makes a good cup. My daily. I could spend for a posh 'aluminum' version, but it'll do.
I tried this thing, french press and moka pot and pretty much the same taste to me.
Imagine sitting there with James and having to make him a coffee, It would be like having to make Gordon Ramsey a medium rare steak. Not sure what would be more scarey, Gordon Ramsey screaming obscenities or James's suave coolness.
Ive been using a moka pot but i Just ordered my first aeropress I'm so excited!
I wish people would put even 5 min of research into why it's called "World Series". If they did then they'd understand how they are mistaken.
How does the flavor compare to a French Press?
Thank you so much for explaining the use of the funnel inverted to extract into a smaller diameter cup or smaller thermos. I've been a convert to the Aeropress over the last 3 months, from V60, and wanted so much to use smaller cups at times. Now I can do it. It is an amazingly well thought out product.
I have a nice espresso machine at home and usually use a French press for camping, but I've been wanting one of these. I just picked one up at the Goodwill for five bucks it looks like it's maybe been used once. I'm getting into it, it's pretty fun.
ok that was one sick intro to a video..
A video on how to dial in coffee for an Aeropress would be awesome
I wasn't aware that the inventor swears by 80c water temp until today that I came across with this video but happy to know it's not just me then since I long figured out that brewing my Aeropress coffee at considerably lower temperature than usual produces in my opinion and to my taste, a much better cup of coffee than the usually 90c+ but I should also say that I let it brew for 2 mins instead of just the one. I'd also like to add that using the Aeropress to filter my cold brews has been a game changer! Been told several times and by several people I make the best cold brew and I put that down mainly to the pressure created by the device (I plunge it as fast as I can to create the pressure) and also quantity of coffee – with cold brew, I find that less=more and I keep ice away from my brew
i love your presentation and how you teach great recipe too
First time to understand what an aeropress is…
A guy peeing in the wrong spot 7:41
I need to be on the road soon,
so I just got one of these to see me through after seeing your review.

Love my aeropress, it’s been all over with me as a housesitter in Europe. That and my lovely Italian coffee tin full of the best coffee I could find in my travels. Stayed in some beautiful places where a good coffee was easy to find, but then there were others where the coffee was dismal.
Awesome! I’ve got one of these and haven’t used it because I don’t know the right way haha
Coffee Sock now makes cloth filters for the Aero press. The best of both worlds!
Does it come with some filters when you buy an aeropress?
