Can you do an updated one?
this guys voice is nice
Just started 2 weeks ago. Started on wilderness. Pretty fun. But i came back fromm skull cave at about 10hp and was oneshot by a serpent before i could walk in the door.
Forest farm is best
Forest and Hill Top are my favorites. The Forest farm is beautiful and I can grow as much as I want. The hill top is nice because it's on different levels so one level is my house with my crops, and then down the stairs to the first level are my animals. It's easier to fence them off but still give them plenty of space to move around.
Beach farm is my go to when I just want to have fun and make a pretty farm lay out. Lol
i just got stardew valley yesterday and i got beach farm cause i really like the beach also its in newer version since theres like way more layouts i can choose
Thé new four corners farm is my personal favorite!!. So much space and organizing can be done with it
I tend to gravitate towards the monster farm, as in the endgame you can disable the monsters and then its just a large farmland with a lake to put crab pots in
I've always thought that the wilderness farm has the most farmable land in exchange for the monsters at night
almost to the 4th year in-game, and in retrospect, I am super happy I chose the Forest Farm
Can you use the quarry in hiltop to plant? Or at least decorate? I chose it hoping i could use it as something else
I like the Wilderness farm its not to big. Though you can turn the monsters off on the settings page when starting a new game.
Picked Forest farm in first try and it seems I made the right choice ☺️
I chose the Riverland farm my first time playing since I thought it sounded aesthetic. Big mistake :))))) I have barely have any space and I suck at fishing, my level is litterally at 0 :))))
I picked the worst one. Now my Riverland farm looks like it’s kind of worn down. (Mainly because I can’t decorate it,I’m on my 5th year so I need to cut down all the trees completely
I picked Wilderness, and I don't mind the monsters too much(at level 7-10 combat I get Iridium Bats and Shadow Golems). But sometimes I really want the Forest farm due to the extra hardwood and pretty forest surrounding it. The Standard farm just seemed boring so I didn't choose it.
Riverland sucks (for me) because the first 2 seasons are the ones where fishing makes the most profits, and the first 2 seasons are also the ones where mountain fish are overwhelmingly better than river fish.
omg this is old XD
thanks, man!
Thank you for the help. Vids great.
i chose riverland and i haaaate it, wish i did hilltop. but i have over 80 hours of play on it, half way through year 3 so i don't want to start a new one :((( i hate fishing but i just chose it randomly rip
It's been 4 years and we have a beach farm now. Time passes quickly…
i know that the standard one is boring but i like growing way more crops and animals than i need to so its my favorite
The foraging farm is honestly my favorite. When I'm playing vanilla it's always my go-to.
If you thought river was bad wait until you play beach
Two new farms added would love an updated video if you got the time!
Interesting… (I'm currently playing the Switch version with the Forest farm map/layout; The game is updated to the current version being 1.5 …)
5:08 – 5:10 —> You say upgraded axe, but specifically what level?
> I.E. Copper – Iron/Steel – Gold – Iridium (Obviously not copper because it didn't do anything for removing bushes…)
4:39 this farm layout is now obsolete because it's only use it to get the occasional foraging items and hard wood, as of now stardew valley is in 1.5 and now has something called mahogany trees which produces hardwood if you chop it down, they can be found by slaying monsters in the secret woods, chopping thick stumps or hollowed logs, or chopping down mahogany trees on the palm island farm
Still playing through for the first time, I started with the standard farm. If I start a new one tho I'm definitely switching to the hillside, seems perfect
Thank you!
Very helpful thank you
wait they all these maps 4-5 years ago?!?! Oooooof
I think the hillside farm layout is the best if the cliffs and platous and mining area was removed, like only farmland + snaking river looks great and better then the ponds of the standard farm
Hilltop is my favourite, I got a total earning of 27,043 from it in my first month of spring and 16k in my bank at the end of spring
I have an office pc until 11th April my birthday the pc cost me £98 and it runs stardew amazing
Good explanations for all of them, this has been very helpful in choosing a farm for my first playthrough. Thank you for putting in the work and sharing this!
Wilderness is like standard but offers a good way of leveling combat early and anytime you want and its just a better standard farm in my opinion. I also really enjoy the river farm just because theres alot of fishing opportunities and unique farm design which makes it fun and hard
