I’m reviewing the recent Sims 4 update that promised trait improvements and bunk beds. We got the beds, but what are the trait improvements?

Your guess is as good as mine. We have very little information on the so-called improvements via patch notes or in the official livestream. I guess you’ll just have to play the game endlessly to see if you can figure it out. Have fun!

    I'm in my late 20s. I played Sims 1, then played the hell out of Sims 2 and 3, up through the release of 4. I figured part of my rejection of 4 was simply the fact I "grew up" (got employed, married, had kids, etc… basically started doing what I always simulated).

    Then last week I downloaded the Sims 2 Super Collection for my Mac and OH HOW WRONG I WAS. I feel 16 again… hours and hours spent appreciating a game FROM 2004, losing myself in the heart and soul of an actual, genuinely good game.

    I didn't grow up; Sims 4 is just BAD.

    It feels like EA betrayed their historical fan base in favor of a younger generation that they can screw over (who ironically, don't have the same disposable income to spend on the countless expansion packs they keep pushing).

    I'll be watching the Paralives development and crossing my fingers that all the sad ex-simmers one day get an amazing, modernized simulation game worth our time and money.

    Back when the sims and sims 2 were being developed there wasn't social media and all kinds of outside input, the result was 2 great games that broke not only the molds but the records as well. The sims 3 and now 4 have external input galore and see how well that's working. Companies need to go back to their roots and start producing games without nit wit input and go back to making great games, even WoW was destroyed by player input and they ended up losing so much income as a result. Community input is a real 1 way ticket to destruction over just putting the game out as you envision it and letting the players decide who will play and who won't. If you only try to cater to a select few you will alienate a larger base, some like Cars in the game most could care less as an example (Cars would be cool I think).

    I started an unmodded game yesterday. My goofball sim lived next to Johnny Zest, also a goofball. Johnny pranked my sim's toilet whenever he came to visit. Quite annoying after the fourth time, but even more annoying was that my sim also pranked her own toilet, when autonomy was on. So I am guessing that one of the trait "improvements" for goofballs is constantly pranking toilets without rhyme or reason… great.
