In America there are usually kitchens in the dorm building still

honestly, i love sending my sims to university. the world is quite boring, but the actual experience is great.
There actually is caffeteria..but its not inside the dorms..its in the building next to the university building i believe.the thing that frustrated me the most is the fact that once you enroll into university you basically need to play that sim untill they graduate cause if you load another family in the middle of the term or even at the end of the term, they might get on a probation or even expelled for a week the next time you play
I'm from europe and have been in several different dorms and noone of them had anything other than the hotplates
I have a location lore for sims
So you have like, willow creek, eastern is windenberg, southern is magnolia promenade, western is Newcrest, north is oasis springs
To the right of Newcrest is brightchester and to the left is San Myshuno, so in this lore I have city living and discover university are very close
I’m sad they have physics but not chemistry :,(
you could turn glimmerbrook into hogwarts with the new lot type!
I'm not a youtuber, but I've been thinking about making a video for people on how I play Discover University as a rotational player – since EA pretty much screwed over anyone who has more than one family and one person in Uni!!
Or is there already one out there showing people how to do it?

no ovens at Oxbridge, cannot even have hobs!
Honestly i really liked the actively classes since i like playing that sort of thing but i can see the distaste to them especially if you play alot of sims… but couldn't thwy have made it optional? Just have a notification pop up saying "The upcoming class is a active class! Would you like to play with your sim or just send them?" But if that notification annoys you maybe add it to the settings "turn off active classes"
Im the type of person who says more options are better to make more people happier
I hardly ever give sims a real job without them going to college first, however this university expansion left a lot to be desired. I just watched you play university on the sims 2 and I forgot about being able to go Greek and move into a sorority house. Where did that go?

My experience:
-Enrolled and got accepted
-got assaulted with the sheer amount of homework
-had no time to keep moods stable
-my Sim got chunky as basically only cake and cookies were brought up by the other students
-on my first term I got two F’s
-I died inside
-did a whole bunch more terms
-my Sim almost aged twice
-I died inside again
-I graduated
-I died inside one last time

They could have very well added a Graduation Party social event, since that's what the trailer appeared to show.
we had stoves/ovens in college soooo…. ?? even freshman year, they were just in the common area… don't know what college ea was thinking about here.
oh also grills. There were grills everywhere too so wtf
not that I ever used them, because i just ate at the cafeterias most of the time
I went to college in America and some of the dorms were apartment style so we had our own kitchens. So Im also confused why they decided no ovens because this would have made for greater diversity within the dorms. Maybe the ones without ovens could have been cheaper
Just so u know there are things like ovens in American dorms.
I love to make a sim parent have some of the uni stuff in their house and then have the kid want to go to that university and I really like that (me forcing storyline lol)
In conclusion, I'll use a lot of the new additions to the game but my sims won't attend college bc that schedule looked stressful lol

I think in the sims 5 they should let us build our own campuses that would be cool

im beginning to think I have too much custom content because i have this pack and some of these items I straight up have never laid eyes on lol

So D.U was the first actual sims gameplay I've ever done in the sims 4 – typically I build and thats it lol
but I created a Sim as a teen, put her through high school to prep for Uni, she got into uni. I even chose her classes in a way that would give her the capability of becoming a vet (in the real world) . and when she graduated, she bought a vet clinic.
SUPER REALISTIC. Until…. her boyfriend dropped out of college and became a fucking doctor….

I think active classes should be a choice. So like sometimes you can send them alone but if you want you can choose to join them. I play sims 3 and I really like active classes, I just wish I had the choice.
Dine out would be great with university because you could just go dine there
Should I get discover university or get to work!?
The worst thing about this pack was that I bought it and made my sim self and sent her to uni as a distraction from my actual uni coursework and then they put her in the same class I was taking and I was sitting there watching my sim self write her neuroscience term paper while I was not doing my actual one and it was just not the escape I was hoping for lol
