I watched this hoping you would tell us HOW we can get municipal concept blueprint that are not always poor quality. But no such luck. So I'm going to ask and hope that you're not too busy to answer this very desperate simmer. My Sim's municipal concept blueprint's are ALWAYS poor quality even after I have them modify it. HOW do I improve their quality so they aren't always 'poor'? OR do you know of a cheat I can use to improve their quality?

Back when that came out… this is not good enough to be an expansion pack… tiny living and this together…. yes I can get behind that.. but sims 4 is reductive… it’s recycling all their content and taking ideas from past generations of sims and hacking them up and selling them in underdeveloped split up packs/ expansions… it’s shady and obvious and I’m not a fan. This, in my opinion, should not have been an expansion pack! I was hoping that the next expansion pack would have been something a lot more exciting but that EA for ya. It looks like a left over expansion pack to me. Not very excited about it or about ever buying it either! Can someone say Island Living conservationist just being recycled into a new expansion pack called Eco Lifestyle!

My issue is this pack drops the day my state is expected to reopen. So my ability to explore it will be curtailed. But every pack I have seen adds something I do like. And while the community lot is not my particular cup of tea. Since you could have a wealthy sim just buy a lot and make it nice. I do like the idea of solar panels and expanding on what can be done.

This is sooo exciting for everyone who is an enviromentalist or is interested in these things.

Completely unrelated but I was looking at your gardening guide. And I saw that you were missing a fruit. I know it’s not on purpose but I was kind of confused. And the missing fruit was the forbidden fruit that turns your sim into a plantsim. You can purchase the Magic PlantSim Stump from the Build Mode and place the magic beans you get from the rare seed packet on the stump (one of every kind). And then you water it and it grows into a tree. When you click on it, you’ll see an option called “Explore The Mystical Magic Bean Portal Tree” and when you click on the option, your sim enters a rabbithole for a while and there’s a chance that your sim may come out with the forbidden fruit. How did I find that out? Well, I was looking at my household collections and found that there was a slot marked for an uncommon harvestable. I looked at your guide but couldn’t find it so I decided to try that out and got the fruit. So I thought maybe you forgot to add it or didn’t know about it.

Some of those points make sense, but overall I'm not quite understanding the criticism. Most if not all of the EPs (Discover University maybe less so) have been about adding new gameplay options that ended up being underwhelming, and eventually only the neighborhood/build items/CAS items ended up being worth something in the long term. TS4 has been brilliant with GPs (…most of them) because they were compact, specialized in scope, and had a clear concept, but the EPs have mostly failed at doing something similar. So yeah, you're gonna be disappointed with this one, for sure.
But also… at the same time I love the idea of compatibility with former packs. Yes the Eco Lifestyle EP seems very similar to some items or options we've had in the past, but those items or options were either not the focus of the pack they came in, or were released in smaller packs (like the laundry ; by the way, we DID massively vote for more eco-friendly things at the time, why are we not happy we're getting more of what we voted for ?). It makes for a game where packs are not patches of new code but make for a cohesive universe where things make sense, and are expanded upon.
But frankly, people, if you're that discontent with a game, you ARE allowed to stop purchasing new expansions or even to stop playing it. It's really that simple. That's what I do 90% of the year, and when I come back to TS4 I have fun for a couple of weeks and all is well. Try it, it's fantastic.

I wonder if the chick maggot mystery is a place to store compost? That would be something to help the environment. I know a lot of people don't seem to like this pack already without even having played it yet, but I'm into environmental science and I for one am more excited about this than Vampires, Magic Realm and mermaids. I'm pretty non-fiction so this appeals to me more. I'll definitely be buying it. I will be disappointed if the solar panels and wind energy doesn't lower bills costs. That would be like discovering we can't eat the fish we catch all over again lol the majority of people in real life who fish do it to eat what they catch, not put it on their wall lol.
