I'm English, i have to admit nearly all of the better English players are very overrated.
FYI, very few people in England actually care about the England team. It's all about the EPL, club > country every time.
England supporters accepted 30 years ago that they were never going to win anything again, but that was okay because their clubs teams perform well in Europe.

Also England sucks, they've got an attractive PL TV deal and a large audience, with a substantial part coming from former colonies that are still mesmerized by "the empire on which the sun never sets", but truth be told the England national team is possible even worse than my country's national team; and great English players are few and far between. On a good day, the US national team would beat England like so many other "minor" football nations have done before.
Tl;dr: England sucks as well.
I'm Danish – like Ousted and the White Puma or whatever the hell you call Jimmi Nielsen; and both keepers had their prime years in the Danish League which is – might I add – absolutely horrendous. Both moving on to the MLS and having some success there (for Jimmi at least) goes to show that MLS is pretty crappy, but that most European Leagues are as well.
In fact, football is on a downward spiral – quality is solely where the money is; and that's sad. Look at the Bale signing, what a joke.

Where are you from where the keepers are gold standard? The US has actually been pretty good at producing goalkeepers, in fact two starting EPL keepers at the moment got their starts in MLS.

Life story? A YouTube comment? Ok, well considering you said "mate", I'm guessing you're Scottish, Irish, Welsh, at a push Australian, all of which not privy to the finest goalkeepers in the world. I just hate people that put down young or lower ranked leagues from smaller countries etc. which are poorer for the sole reason that they're not splashing shit tons of money on players.
That's an amazing goal. Keeper position helped but the accuracy from so far out, is outstanding
It's a crappy goal and the keeper should know better – in the same way that we have all seen keepers get caught off their lines and have embarassing goals scored against them like that. Remember Beckham's first goal for Manchester United against Wimbeldon (I think)? Same sort of thing. Hopefully the keeper will learn from it, as will the midfield and defense.

I feel like you're English… Are you English? Don't think you really have the right to call MLS keepers shit when there's Hart who was embarrassed by Ibra, then there's Green, Robinson and Carson who were recently embarrassed internationally… David James embarrassed himself multiple times. Then before that there was Seaman against Brazil. Goals have been scored from the halfway line in every league in the world on top of all that anyway, so stop being a dick, the MLS is still young.
