i was obsessed with the DW franchise in my youth. even picked up one of the ROTK translated books, though i skipped through Liu Bei's story and went straight to Lu Bu's because the book was so slow paced. if i can find it, i do want to pick it back up again though. i stopped truly playing DW at 6, though i did pick up the later games, i wasn't as invested in them as i was before. i thought 9 would get me back into it, with the open world and more rpg – like feel ( which is something i still enjoy in it ), but it's just so barren and the launch issues kept me away.
i ended up redownloading dw8 empires and dw9 last week to get me back into the series. and just as you said in the video, i realized that i never truly got into the Jin story. i hear a lot of people simp for Wang Yuanji, so i want to find out what that's about. i plan on picking up DW8XL Definitive Edition on the Switch for the road, and all of the DLC ( cause omfg Koei releases DLCs like they're about to die ).
