I bet Freya will be the main villain rather than Odin. Sure we’ll have a tough time against him, but she’ll be manipulating everything from behind the curtains, plotting her revenge against Kratos and Atreus.

I don’t want to fight Surtr. I want to see Kratos & Surtr team up. Imagine if you will, Kratos and Surtr strolling into Asgard. They stand to gain a lot from an allegiance imo.. and wasn’t it implied he was aware of Kratos & Atreus in his realm? I always interpreted the combat gauntlets as him testing the two gods to see if they’d be worthy allies

Ok it's nice that you mentioned the mythology. However Thor isn't actually as bad as you're trying to say. Yes he's a brutal brute when he needs to be. But when he's not fighting he's a loud , boastful, fat ,drunken man who loves to laugh and crack jokes. And Loki isn't somebody you feel sorry for considering he constantly does things to undermine Asgard and his "family". He's been given many chances but when he had baldrs brother kill him that was the last straw.
The Norse gods aren't really heroes or villains they just fit in between kinda. I understand for the game you need a reason to hate them, however I hope they don't just go the route of ,"oh aesir gods bad, vanir gods good". Because that's still cliche , now you're turning the known aesir gods into the evil gods and making the vanir out to be kinda good mostly.
Show that kratos and Atreus can be just as evil and humanize some of the quote on quote evil deities.
Ragnarok is not only the destruction of Asgard but of the Cosmos
I'm assuming there's going to have to be some time-travel introduced in the game at some point to explain how Jormungandr is already around, while Atreus is still a child. I wouldn't be surprised if that means we have an adult Atreus (i.e. Loki) appear, without revealing that's who he is. It makes sense to make Angrboda into a major character too, especially if Hela and Fenrir are likely to appear. Assuming that this is going to be another trilogy, it's odd that they're using Ragnarok in the second game, given it doesn't leave much for the third. I feel like the majority of the second game will actually be set during 'Fimbulwinter' (the lead up to Ragnarok), with the war beginning at the climax, and continuing through the third game.
Given we didn't access Asgard, Vanaheim, or Svartalfheim, in the first game, it's reasonable to assume we'll go there in the second, meaning we should expect more dwarves and Vanir characters to be introduced, as well as more Aesir obviously. Freyr is a safe bet, although they may call him Yngvi to avoid confusion.
Give me Thor, Odin, more Loki, another Athena Flashback, Thor and Baldur’s brother, Heimdall, maybe Enchantress and we’re good
We don't even know if it will be called ragnarok. These are just speculations. Ragnarok will probably be in the third game and this one will be fimbulwinter and won't have a subtitle.
Surtr was cool in Hellblade in terms of design so it would be sick to see him interpreted in God of War 2.
I feel like Ragnar is a character more suited for Assassin's Creed Valhalla than God of War
