RE: Creature Health and Damage in this video.
I have several comments on this video asking about this, and yes they are completely off. The config settings I've been using are horribly out of date. In January 2016, Wildcard nerfed tamed creatures health and damage stats, cutting the multiplier from 1.0 to 0.2. Since I was using custom settings for these, I didn't know about the change. In addition to this, at some point, the "Use Singleplayer Settings" was activated, which effectively doubles Health and Damage, among other things. If all of that isn't enough, I have a custom level ramp which allows tamed creatures to level up an extra 30 times.
Most of the information here is still good, just be mindful of your creatures and remember to use your best judgement.

Update as of 2021: the looking under the sand trick still works and yes you can tell a CLEAR difference between the Alpha and non-Alpha variants.

A certain hotspot i've noticed where they spawn the most are those small areas of trees in the desert. Easily found 2-4 within an hour of looking nearby those.
You can you crys to get dinos in the hole
What i do is put a fire wyvern in cryo pod and when u get to the Iceworms throw it down and it demolishes them
As I typed how to find death worm I was attacked by one lol

Do I need to ride on small creatures like sabertooth ?

Ha ha level 300 raptor that dose 2000 damage go brrrrrr
So anyone else go through grappling hooks like crazy like yried to tame a yuta and it booked it like miles it ran so far that it despawned(ps4 player) but point being that having a lymantyria might be useful and I have a swarm cause I tame like a bunch of raptors,direwolfs and sabertooths when I first start seeing how they can do more damage then I and nothings funnier then seeing a rex panic as it realizes that it can't step anywhere as it gets juggled by like 20 creatures with 600 health min and 350 attack that's 20 mind you I know I'm not a pro ark player but I know that a shit ton of tiny lil things against one very big thing usually means victory for who ever has the lil army
In the ice cave, can I go through the “boss is available” point and turn around after looting red crates a bit?
Finally I can go get some deathworm then tame some mantis
