I watched this video the first time when I was researching the history of IQ tests because I was about to get a parenting capacity evaluation that included an IQ test and read somewhere that my autism comes with an intellectual disability.
Thankfully my IQ was average meaning child welfare services could not use it to discriminate against me, but knowing that IQ tests are used against parents with intellectual disabilities so often is REALLY messed up.

Nobody argued that IQ was an accurate measure of a person's "potential". Nobody argues that people should be categorized using only one single score on an intelligence test.
The fact that they have to address such strawmen to nuance the usefulness of the score goes to show the power of IQ tests to estimate one's intellectual capabilities though.
