Star Wars: Empire at War is a 2006 real-time strategy (RTS) game developed by Petroglyph Games and published by LucasArts. Set between Episode III and Episode IV, it focuses on the fledgling struggle between the Empire and the Rebels. It uses Petroglyph’s game engine Alamo. The most recent patch was released on July 20, 2006. In October 2006, an expansion entitled Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption was released.

This game is really bad with my opinion. I’ve been playing it for a couple of years and the battles with ground units are really uneven. At 4:20 you’ll noticed that all my vehicles, 50 of them, died from 3 defense turrets. The AT-ATs barely survive anything, stormtroopers are useless, and you can’t organize any of the bases. The game itself is so biased.
I hate it, which is why I used cheat codes 😛
By the way, I still play the game because it is the one and only Star Wars RTS game. However, the statistics for each character is very biased. It literally took me almost 3 hours to beat the computer, using the well-known map; Hoth with the easiest computer to challenge..

Before I buy this game, is there any way to turn off the constant "unit destroyed" stuff?
After looking at several reviews, I think it's safe to say this game only draws people in because it's Star Wars. There's no real strategy, you just spam reinforcements until either you lose or they do. Even if you try to work with the rock, paper, scissors mechanics, the enemy always has all 3 types with them anyways and gang up on whoever they counter. They also have far more resources than you (I was once attacked by a fleet of Rebels with 44 CR90 corvettes while I only had a total of 8 ships), and I can't possibly build my fleet up before an attack because I'm always just waiting on other ships or ground units to build. The tutorial barely teaches you the mechanics that matter in the heat of battle, and reading the descriptions of every turret and enemy I see is difficult with them shooting at me. Scouts are useless because the enemy just runs straight into my camp anyways. Really, I could go on, but this game sucks, the only thing I can't say for sure is how bad the Rebels are because i always tried playing the Empire. The one saving grace is that there's probably a mod that rebalances the game or just changes it completely.
was reading some reviews and some people were saying this game is like the Total War Series but better, i have to strongly disagree, it looks like a cheap RTS where there is no tactics other than to make a blob, that is nothing like how proper Total War games were like
we need a Gundam mod of this great game!
Damn, that battle was a slaughter, I never saw so many AT-AT and imperial tanks been destroyed by the rebel alliance, but that show us the real power of the rebels; at least in legends

command and conquer was always my favorite rts but this looks fun, one thing I hate about rts's the constant, unit ready or unit destroyed bullshit lol

so there was a reskin of AoT to make it look like starwars and it was called "Starwars: Galactic Battlegrounds" and im guessing this is the CnC reskin? lol… but at least the AoT reskin was halfway decent this just looks like garbage.
