Aww I really wanna do this after my sim leaves high school :3 I'm goner get this when I can afford it. also does anyone else play proper slow. I just can't bring my self to age up my Sim child. He's maxed every basic tolder and child skill. I got that proper tolder trait. And he's still child age but I've maxed the child skills. now he's level 5 logic level 5 charisma and level 5 violin, as you unlock a few adult skills/teen when you max the others. Also I've got about 7 sentiments between the mother and child. Anyone know any other cool ones ? 🙂
How do you get a bike?
3 weeks to get the degree? If you play with normal lifespans then you're already out of the Young adult life stage by the time you've finished. You may as well have just sent them to work and progressed in their career while earning… actually nevermind – it's the same as real life lol.
There are some pretty negative reviews on Steam of this expansion pack. This video convinced me I wanted University after all.

If you use the first microwave, you can move that in live mode, the other microwaves won't let you move them in live mode… So putting the schmapple microwave on the mini fridge (which you can drag in live mode) means that you won't be able to put the fridge in your sim's inventory, but if you use the wavescatter microwave, you can. And I do agree, it's really only good in an emergency, the coolers are just as good, but you can sit on a cooler.
I have been playing a sim from childhood to university… My favorite university was sims 2. But this one is decent. I wish terms were longer, and the college life wasn't rushed. (Shrug) but its better than 3 IMO. I agree with you on a lot of your statements. Thanks for everything!! I love your site and videos. I share the same Cynicism as you towards the Sims 4. Here is looking to the future, LOL
to be fair, real life university is also, for the best part, just a time menagement game, and I still fail it.
What I want:
-Story progression so I can actually care about the other sims who live near me
-A lot more character traits (like in the Sims 3), the current traits available are bland and boring. Also adding more traits can give sims a personality rather than just the emotions system
Basically just add stuff from the Sims 3 that didn't make it into Sims 4.
Professor combined with archeology is a fun role play that would make sense IRL

Is this world where I can find a microscope I don't have to buy? I found a chess set in the library and I REALLY want to find a microscope in the open world and not have to buy one (since they take up so much space)
Basically, it's mostly an alternate career advancement track, with slightly more interactive content.
I’m probably in the minority in this opinion but I would have liked to have at least one interactive class like in Sims 3 where you attend lecture and the class activity with them. It was simple but added more immersion and broke the monotony of rabbit holes.
My experience with this thing:
-Entered the university.
-My roommates filled my dorm with a bunch of spoiled food and none of them cleaned it up.
-Got confused and lost AF with the class schedule and what the heck I was supposed to do.
-Dropped out without even finishing the 1st term, "This sucks, i'll do it the old fashioned way"
What a shame. I have played Sims forever but was without a PC for a few years. I'm getting a new one and of course my Sims are coming back. I was looking forward to University but it seems that 4 sucked all the fun things out of the previous years.

The graduation system was annoying, Why do I need to go through a loading screen just to watch them go into the rabbit hole before coming out to cheer and then have another loading screen just to return to their dorm?.
How much will it slow down my game? I have a kind of crappy slow computer and I’m wondering if I should just wait to get another one. It’s on sale right now though so I really want it :/

Why couldn't the developers focus on implementing the idea of getting a Master's or PhD degree in the game? Or even some some sort of professional degree (law school, med school)That could have been interesting.
University was really helpful for my doctor sim because I didn’t have to spend time cleaning the floor, I got to treat and diagnose patients right away. Although university was really stressful but I guess it’s realistic. It’s a lot easier if you live off campus because then they don’t miss classes walking there, they just teleport.
I feel like they ripped us off with this one, most of the buildings are shell and rabbit holes.
I liked the sims 3 better because you could actually see your sim at orientation and you could control them in classes. and there would be options to raise your hand or take notes or sleep in class. Also whenever you went to classes you got a backpack (which you could disable if you really wanted to.) It was more realistic too, your dorm actually had 2 floors. And there was sorority’s and frat houses, or a normal dorm. Also, you could buy a house on the campus. And plus, there are no loading screens because it’s open world. And cars.
Every time I watch these Sims 4 videos, I feel like one of the biggest issues with the Sims 4 packs is that they don't interact with each other

When the pack came out I played with a savefile I was really close to. I only realized after it was too late, that I should've turned off aging while my sim was in university. My sim hadn't even completed his degree and both of his parents died and his teenage sister had to live at home all alone. Time stopped in the previous games so why didn't it in the sims 4? Its so frustrating because in real life uni only takes 4 years give or take, so why is everyone dying as if he's spent 20 years there???
tbh its weird to see young adult people but looking adult already
