This was an excellent series. I've watched all 13 of them. I will be watching them again since our grand daughter has asked me to create an elephant for her room. I am a woodworker and was originally going to attempt to carve (manual and power) an elephant. I have a sum total of 3 hours of carving in my life. After much deliberation I chose to do a piece in clay, because it is forgiving. You can fix a problem by adding more cay. Not so with wood. You are the solution to my "problem''. So now I can take my computer to my shop and work as I am able, and replicate your model. You specifics, and suggestions are awesome. Great detail. And your tips and techniques help answer the many questions I had. Watching the entire series helps cut down on questions. So I suggest other students watch the whole series. Finally, the secret to successful woodworking is many mentors, and practice….and patience. You are a very reassuring mentor. You have a great sense of humor and a lot of humility—you don't take yourself too seriously. A major gift. Thank you for your help.
how can we use gas ovens? the ones with actual fire instead of electrical elements?
You have a calming voice. You should grow a fro
This was extremely helpful, thank you!
Please make a dog sculpture (maybe a stray dog with protruding ribs and thin limbs – so that you can raise awareness of the terrible conditions some dogs have to go through!) thank you 🙂
What oven you use? Thank you!
This guy is the Bob Ross of polymer. I could watch him and his informative videos all day!!! Thanks for the tutorial Polymer Clay Artist!!!!
Thank you i love your videos!
What kind of oven you use?
you have a coffee machine in your bathroom?
You have a very calming voice.
A question. Can you use the same oven to bake a polymer clay sculpture that is used for food? I've heard yes and no.
I have never made a sculpture. I purchased the clay, tools and wire for an armature. I'm trying to gain knowledge through videos such as yours. I really appreciated your video and would like to see them from the first video. Thanks again.
Awsome
Thank you so much, awesome project and video
so helpful! thank you
Is the sculpture solid or hollow?
Great video, Thank you!
I think it is alright that you got a little distracted after the last video. At least we got an update.
The baby elephant looks amazing. I am now a new subscriber.
Finally a good video going into details of how to bake polymer clay. I'm new to this and this helps clarify a lot of questions I had with the process.
Great series, man. YOU are awesome.
Glad I found your channel. I love your work!
Awesome work And u r very patient and detailed with ur work I am glad i found ur channel I want some help with something i want to make It'll b super simple for u but i dont know how to start Where can i share my query with image
How long did you have the elephant sculpture in the oven? The info say 15 minutes per 1/4” thickness which confuses me.
Did you have it in the oven for 15 minutes?
Not a baby elephant. Babies don't have tusks and doesn't have full control of its trunk to keep it up like that. It look more like an adult bull.
What happens if I poor cold water on it after it’s done baking to speed up cooling?
Thanks for tips . I'm just preparing to bake my FIRST polymer clay model , and hope I won't muck up 3 days work ! Fingers crossed……..
1) You have a coffee maker in you bathroom…?? O.o
2) That's not a thermostat, it's a thermometer.
3) Your oven is called "frigidaire"..? That's French for refrigerator…
bravo! going to try this kind of sculpture! Thanks for these videos, was so interesting to follow all 13 of them 🙂
Subscribed, thank you for making these amazing videos.
I'm baking a piece using super sculpty as we speak.. and is it normal to be able to put finger nail
marks in the clay . does that mean it's not fuller cured yet? thanks much for your videos.
A wonderful video series. My teen daughter and I are very new to this world and have learned a great deal watching this series. Thank you so much for sharing and teaching.
Your voice is pure therapy!
Thanks ❤️❤️
I was wondering about top "regular" heated ovens versus convection ovens. I know the temperature has to be lower with latter, and temperatures downed, just seem more logical to use that with even result, just doing a bigger piece, 2x the elephant, it's gonna have some parts with more clay that I want, but gonna keep my time with the exo, never baked before 🙂 What's your take on that? +plus, I have these Gigerish extension bulking, can I just roll small aluminium balls, what would you say the minimum thickness should be? I really don't mind failing this project, but insight would matter 😀
Great. I learned a lot and want to see more from you.
I take them out and let them cool on their own. I always bake at 250 for 15 minutes (electric oven) but i also recently started to bake in stages for a replica of the adventure time treehouse, and i sm not disappointed.
Totally love your work. I’ve watched this series twice straight through now and love it so much that my second ever sculpture will be an elephant. The first being a dragon, one headed dragon. I’d show a picture , but don’t know how on here. Thanks for all your videos. sincerely JC
This was one of the the most helpful instructional videos I've ever watched. I appreciate you, and your soothing walk through
