  1. Sir SMKSAlOT says:

so i got sick last year, i believe it was from too much water in a short amount of time.
ever since then, i don't get thirsty, and i have low blood pressure issues causing a high heart rate.
if i drink a few liters of water, my heart rate drops but i have to use the bathroom every 15 minutes.

i know, i've heard it plenty. "go see a doctor", trust me i have seen multiple, and imo they just don't care enough to try figuring it out.
i've also seen a few specialists, and any tests they ran doesn't seem to help them diagnose me, or again they just don't care.

my question is, if you even read this is, in your opinion, would it be a lack of salt? or lack of kidney function that's causing this. (original gfr tests were low indicating bad filtration, but a month or two later were back above 100)

the lack of sodium would make me not get thirsty. when intake nothing but gatorades or liquid IV, i eventually get slightly thirsty after a day or two. but it quickly goes away after a few sips of plain water.

or my kidney is damaged, and even if it gets the ADH, it continues to get rid of water.

i understand you can't give me medical advise, but you seem more knowledgeable than most of the "Doctors" i've seen, so im just curious if you'd have an opinion on the situation.
