In Italy, for a perfect original coffee like they do in Naples, you should make a little pile, just like a little mountain when putting the coffee on the filter and should NOT press it, just close the moka on top of it.
For the frothy cream, just as you get it when you order an espresso at a café, wait for the first thicker and darker coffee drops, mix them in another pot with 3 little spoons of sugar, then await for the rest of the coffee to come out of the moka and pour it with the previous mix of sugar and coffee.
Finally stir everything and pour, with the aid of a spoon, the creamy coffee into a cup.
After watching this video i immediately tryed to follow the instructions. I was in particular eager to see watch the formation of the gentle coffee bubbles going out from the moka pot piston. I turned my eyes one second and there was hot coffee all over the walls in the kitchen and not anymore in the moka pot.
Wait of time just get a Breville express
Ive got an very old grinder, takes forever, got the electric now, much better,, my next coffee buy will be this, i had one many years ago, forgot it in Marbella, maby it's still in that sad hotel room, that coffeepot would easy dobble the value.
Dont put it on very high heat -My coffee overflowed on to the stove .Low to med heat.
To put that hot mettal under cold water is extremely stupid that can cause let the mettal crack and become brittel to youre pot wont even see 70% of its life span then
we have that moka pot
got one many years ago, looks like i have to dig it out of the shelf and bring it to life
Thanks
Could you heat the water directly in the bottom part first, and when hot, add the holder and top parts, to the same effect? I wanna minimize number of ha gadgets used.
I will definitely try this next time. But do you have any advice on how to clean the upper part. I've heard it's not good to use soap on it, but do you clean the residue coffee?
This was a great video. With just a tiny bit more effort, a drink like this has taken over my morning routine. One of the most useful things I've noticed was the cool trick about frothing the milk in a french press! never thought to do that! Thanks!

Temperature on the burner?
If you take it off the heat once it starts gurgling, wouldn't you be left with water in the bottom chamber?
