is he the person who play in movie ramen girl?
Rest in peace, Yanmagashi Kazuo
Lovely first part demonstrating a true legacy and respect for an apparent experience demonstrated expert in the field still holding his own providing value to customer experience and (then) living history. Ruined a little for me with the full on peer pressure bullying of a westerner astriving to a 'set' of subjective ideals, wouldn't have been so bad if it had been done jokingly and scaled back a bit to open acceptance. Then again I'm only seeing a small part of that dynamic, not their long lasting friendship.
How arrogant can that asian guy be?
What i don't understand is how you match that dipping bowl with so much noodles? You'll run out before you're a quarter done. They must give refills.
Dude, who the fuck's Kyuzu…how difficult is it to say "Kazuo"? You live there for some time too.
I was surprised how much they originally serve the ramen noodles. It was really a large serving even the regular one, that's a lot.
The guy looks like he lives on two radishes a day, leave him alone. lol
what a dweeb noway he couldn't eat those noodles being a fellow American i would of eaten the whole bowl then try for seconds
Wanted it to be quiet in his restaurant.
Enters the restaurant shouting to people
Peter Meehan is such a piece of trash person, the second I saw his grotesque mug pop up on screen I already knew that disappointment approached. Watching his thin wormy lips chewing up the sublime noodles, creature-like and bent on destruction, I threw up. I ralphed everywhere all over my screen and keyboard, my mouse is covered in noodles.
This is what i called ramen with extra step
Isn't the Asian guy was the restaurant owner that serves fried chicken with fish eggs lol
I would crush 4 bowls of that ramen
The owners smile just lights up the whole room. He just chillin
''My friend couldn't eat as much as I can so now I'm shaming him for it'' the video
In most parts of Asia. Not finishing your meal is very disrespectful and it's an insult to the one who prepared it. Like your mom. hahahahahaha.
“Do you want a fork”
You shoudve been interviewed by a real American and not some commie loving buzzfeed soyboy who cant code
i think the dude was vegan and thats why he couldnt eat the ramen
man watching this old clip and knowing what we all know now regarding Meehan's toxic behavior and David becoming a change man. You can hear the edge and anxiety in dave's voice. He's definitely a different man now.
everythings great awesome shop ramen looks legendary and delicious. in japanese culture you finish your food so you dont disrespect the chef so its fair that hes getting mad at him why did he even order so much if he cant finish it. maybe dont curse so much in a ramen video with a title like this we expected it to be family friendly. awesome video still i agree with the asian guy finish your food that you ordered instead of being rude in another country with a different culture. hes trying to be so respectful, he had to eat it for him in order to not be rude
Cannot believe Chan is friends with such a pussy
Fuck that clown Peter meeehab
The thing is, is that David chang is not joking with Meehan at all, he really is that big of an asshole
how old is the owner is he like 70 years old or something how long the ramen shop has been open sense where in japan is it at what location
What is this, Public HS Lunch? F'n haku-jin neh!
You finish your food! It's disrespectful not to.
You want a fork? 😀
Asian guy is the best
"It's a legendary place…."
A lot of empty tables
just gunna steal a whole segment from a show and not give any credit? very nice
David Chang is a good bully.
You need a fork?
This video is not about food, it's about old people and old tradition's respect and the people realizes this situation
Noodles are empty carbs.
As the saying goes "never trust a skinny chef", and Yamagishi isn't skinny, i trust him.
White boy's don't know anything about Ramen noodles. Get with the Asians or Islander's on that !!!
Awesome noodles. I’ve gotten there late and had to turn around and get there early the next day. I used to call him Soba-sama and he’d laugh and call me Wheeru-kun because of my lightweight sports type wheelchair I used to get around town. He was a kind dude who’s passion was unrivaled. I heard he’d actually have them toss broth that wasn’t right in his later years. A perfectionist till the end of one of my great memories from my almost six years in country. RIP your noodles we’re still the best I’ve ever had
"Never die, Kobra Kai!!"
This is why we loved Japanese ramen. Unlike the ramen shop run by fake chinese in SF. Those MOFO don' even bothered wearing hair nets.
lousy show – darn – was hoping it was something else.
Looked tasty, i would love to slurp it all down. amazing food.
