This video convinced me to buy an old Gameboy Advance and get MFoMT.

Back to Nature for PS1 was my first and favourite Harvest Moon game. I played some FoMT on my old GBA but have no idea where it is now, so I figured I'd buy a new one and get More Friends of the Mineral Town and play as a girl so I can marry Cliff, my first love hahahah

I sunk sooo many hours into this game in 2006/2007 when I got injured. I had a game boy advance and a first gen dual screen which was nice for the back light it had. I actually printed out all the character schedules (this was b4 I had a smartphone lol) and would stay up until my eyes almost fell out.

I got a copy of more friends, the girl version, and was disappointed by the bachelor choices, and ultimately found it more fun to just roleplay as a boy wooing the ladies. I was into Popuri, but once I found out you can woo the water goddess I was all about that! Lol

I am currently playing Stardew Valley on my Xbox1 console, and it is very much a spiritual sequel to Harvest Moon. It has transported me right back to Mineral Town in many ways, though the are various trade-offs.

I think I miss the cute little helpers the most, winning them over, and how they help in various tasks, and had their strengths like some were better at watering or tending your animals. Being called Buddum, really sent me back.

Ha this was longer than I intended, my apologies I could go on forever about these games. That music. Good memories.

Thank you for the review, I enjoyed it.

Definitely one of my favorite games. A couple of years ago I played this game literally to the max. I got the teleport stone on floor 255. I literally took me the whole day, I think it was like 9-10 hours. I remember bringing a full bag of elli leaves. FYI, don't bother with the teleport stone, it's just a novelty and pretty stupid. I also married the Harvest goddess. Once again, all it is is bragging rights, it's a waste of time because she is never in your house. She still lives in the lake. And it takes freaking forever. But yeah, got all the Mythic tools. (Not mythril, Mythic) Yeah the harder ones after the cursed tools. But yeah, nowadays when I play I choose Mary, the librarian. I think she's the cutest.

Easily my favorite Harvest Moon game and I still own my original copy. Only complain I got is not being able to move diagonally, that would’ve made this game perfect. Excellent game nonetheless. The best way to play this nowadays IMO, is on the SNES Classic on the big screen (HDMI) with the built in CRT filter using the SNES controller. That is Heaven~!
