This seems like a scam review. They didn't even to bother to point out that pyrex is now cheap soda lime glass instead of borscillate glass. If the pyrex is lowercased, it's crap. If the PYREX is all capitalized, it's vintage quality borscillate and crack resistant. The fact they neglected to review this leads me to believe they're either incompetent or shilling for these brands.

Oxo and Pyrex are the “ only “ measuring devices I will use ! They are chef tested and from the chefs that I follow . They all must approve of these devices . Because , they use them !
When measuring these was one cup equal to 8 US Fluid Oz (as is standard), or was one cup equal to something weird like 8 US legal oz or to 250 mL?
Spend a little extra on some decent digital kitchen scales, use any convenient vessel, choose appropriate unit of measure, tare, weigh, done!
Pyrex (or equivalent borosilicate glass) measuring cups of various sizes are my go-to for heating many sorts of things in the microwave. Whether it is a can of chili or left over gravy it is nice to have a handle that doesn't get as hot as the rest of it. Sometimes I cover with a paper towel and a rubber band, other times plastic wrap with a few holes punctured. Other times I put a small corelle plate on top, which is also microwaveable.
One feature not mentioned is the improvement in recent years of the handle that ends in a hook instead of forming a full D, allowing them to stack better.
There is one major flaw in your review. The numbers and lines fade off the Pyrex measuring cup if they are used daily after 6 months!
I love the pyrex, but my only issue is that I have pour really slowly to avoid spillage. I am not very patient. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Lol

The labeling has mostly worn off my 1-cup Anchor Hocking and off my 2-cup Pyrex. I keep putting it back with permanent marker as long as I can still see a little bit of a line. Or, I use my 4 cup Pyrex to measure water and then put that into the other cups and make the marks.
I want to purchase a set of silicone squeeze and pour measuring cups….please, please, please experiment with those and recommend a good brand…thank y’all for providing such great cooking and kitchen tool information!!
Watched this because my wife was complaining about pouring out of her measuring cups, liquid runs down the side. I took one look and said, hey lady here is your problem. The spout was rounded so naturally the liquid ran down the side. Who made this crap? Anchor Hocking same as your bad example. Wife is ordering PYREX today. This isn't rocket science so Anchor Hocking deserves to get a beat down. My wife prefers glass because oils and similar items clean up easier.

As a left handed person, I'm surprised they didn't consider the cups that have the measuring lines only printed on one side of the cup. Of course these lines are always printed on the side of the cup you can see when you're holding it with your right hand. That's how my Pyrex cup is and it's sort of frustrating.
I have the OXO for quite a while and I love it.
Flexible and high contact area OXO silicone is the easiest to grip (for my old hands) and has good handling. The cup weight is negligible and the liquid weight is in your hand, not cantilevered away in a heavy vessel like Pyrex. My 2 sizes of Pyrex aren't used for much but catching pasta water.
I have several OXO silicone cups in different sizes and one is reserved for stain prone concoctions. I can pick up and pour 4 cups of hot liquid using both hands on the OXO silicone's grippy surface, something I can't easily do with a 4 cup Pyrex.
Three years of turmeric and hot liquids have changed the colour slightly and it is a bit softer than when new but any odour issues are easily dealt with using Oxi-clean.

I’ve had my 4pc set of Pyrex measures since the late 80’s. I’ve tried others, but ALWAYS go back to them. 8 cup, 4 cup, 2 cup & 1 cup. Best EVER.
If you are left handed the Pyrex one is good. I’m left handed and measuring cups are stressful. The measurements have always been on the wrong side. Metric was always on one side but Pyrex changed it.
I needed a pint measuring cup a while back, and since I have been happy with the Pyrex brand for decades, I did not bother to compare any other brands.
